GoSH is WA’s biggest regional tech-innovation event.

We lean into disruption, focus on future tech and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, helping to educate and inspire regional communities, and the next generation of disruptors, change-makers, and innovators.

GoSH Event Overview

GoSH consists of three components over two days

Held over 2 days, GoSH is a collection of events for regional young people with a focus on future skills, diverse education pathways and building capable communities in WA’s regions

An empowering day of Speakers, Innovators and Industry Supporters, all born from the idea that big ideas can come from anyone, anywhere!

GoSHowcase is a dynamic, community-driven showcase featuring tech demos, real-world disruption stories, hands-on activities, and opportunities for young people to engage with innovative pathways to the future.

Numbers range from 550-900 students.

STEM in the Regions

Young Engineers   |   Careers In STEM

As well as the GoShowcase Event on Day One of GoSH, the Regions can register to attend the STEM in the Region Careers Discussion.

The STEM in the Regions event is delivered by Young Engineers and invites parents, industry, young people, and teachers to a future career panel & discussion.

Numbers range from 30-100 students.

Day Two of GoSH is a no-barrier hackathon competition, customised to the region called GoSHackathon.

Innovation  |  Hackathon  |  Epic Ideas

GoSHackathon is a youth-focused team hackathon for children up to 18 years of age.

Mixed-age teams tackle local issues, developing innovative solutions grounded in the SDGs. Teams receive resources, mentorship, and recognition, fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates first-time participants and encourages diverse thinking.

Teams range from10 to 20 students, with 2 to 5 participants per team.

Wongy is our award-winning Chief Disruptor and proven change agent. She is a member of the Curtin Autism Research Group (CARG) and specialises in strength-based strategies to make space for neurodivergent folk in the workplace and school.

Wongy is the founder of GoSHackathon (GoSH), WA’s biggest tech-innovation event for regional youth and was recently awarded the Women in Tech WA Shining Star award for advocacy, community and volunteering. Wongy identifies as an OG disruptor, ADHD extraordinaire and uses the pronouns she/her.
